Reverse engineering

Reverse engineering is a process where we take a physical used sample part and create 3D or 2D files in electronic format. The most common problem that our reverse engineering solutions solve is when there are no design documentation or drawings available to replace rotating parts.

The file format is always consulted with the customer and we are able to process efficiently almost all types of customer data. Finally, we can also produce and deliver the finished metal part.

Reverse Engineering Key Steps

The process starts with measurements by 3D scanner of the sample part in the turbine on-site or other part delivered to us by CMM. Next, we create documentation by determining material, dimensions, surface conditions, tolerances, other special requirements like coating or hardening. This is followed by Quality Plan and then ready for a quick, efficient manufacturing and fast on-site delivery.

Our flexible and mobile engineering team have a deep insight into steam turbine blades construction of a wide variety of turbine units in both thermal and industrial power generation plants.

Our team of design engineers have over 20 years of experience in measuring and creating a technical documentation of turbine parts, particularly turbine blades, vanes and diaphragms.

We focus on the perfect preparation of the manufacturing technology to make the production process as efficient as possible.

Depending on local customer needs and conditions, we take measurements with

a coordinate measuring machine (CMM) or mobile 3D laser scanner.
